The importance of the month of Mahe Rwamadwan Shareef according to
the Q’uran Shareef and Hadish Shareef
Ya Mahe Rwamadwan Shareef! Most welcome to you. This month is important to receive blessings for the followers of Rwasoolullah Swallallahi A’laihi Wa Sallam. Allah Ta’aala says-
يايها الذين امنوا كتب عليكم الصيام كما كتب على الذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون .
Meaning: “O you who believe! Observing As’Saum (the fasting) is Fard for you as it was Fard for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn ( V.2:183)
It is a thing to remember that, ‘Taqwa’ (fear of Allah Ta’aala) is the root of all ‘Amaal (good deeds done for Allah Ta’aala). That is why Allah Ta’aala ordered His followers to obtain Taqwa-
تزودوا فان خير الزاد التقوى
Meaning: And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness, etc.). (V.2:197)
The meaning of the word ‘Taqwa’ is fear of Allah Ta’aala. Therefore, fearing Allah Ta’aala and being get rid of all deeds completely that is forbidden by Allah Ta’aala is called ‘Taqwa’. And having Siaam during the sacred month of Rwamadwan ‘taqwa’ is received. Regarding this Hadish shareef says, “Good ‘Amaal of the sons of Hazrat Adam ‘Alaihis Salaam is increased from ten to seven hundred times. Allah Ta’aala says, Except Siaam. Because, Siaam is done only for Me and I myself will reward him. He (follower) gets rid of his miswillingless and food only for Me. (Bukhari Shareef, Muslim Shareef).
It means that prayig Swalaat, Hajj, Zakat, Fitra, Q’urbani could be done by many people only to show other people. But Siaam cannot be done only to show people. Because he gives up his food only in fear of Allah Ta’aala although he has the opportunity to have food secretly.
Regarding the benefit of Rwamadan shareef many Hadish Shareef are narrated. Rwasoolullah Swallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam says in Hadish Shareef , “The man who takes his Siaam during Rwamadan Shareef with Emaan and Yaqeen, then his all previous sins will be forgiven and the man who spends the night in Ibadaat during Rwamadan Shareef with Emaan and Yaqeen, then his all previous sins will be forgiven and the man who spends the night of Shab e Qadar Ibadaat with Emaan and Yaqeen, then his all previous sins will be forgiven also. (Bukhari Shareef, Muslim Shareef).
Hadish Shareef further says that, “The man who keeps his Siaam in Rwamadan Shareef from beginning to end, then he will be as innocent as like as the day he was born (as innocent) by his mother. (Muslim Shareef).
In another Hadish Shareef, it says, “Every ummat of Habeebullah will be forgiven at the last part of each night of the Rwamadan Shareef. (Ahmad).
In another Hadish Shareef, it says, “The sleep of the person who performs Siaam is considered as Ibada, his silence is considered as Tasbih, his D’ua is definitely granted and all of his Saowaab of his deeds are being doubled to so many times. (Kanjul Ummal).
Therefore, the person who does his duties that should be done for this month, then he will receive Rwahmaat, Magfiraat and Najaat. But the person who does not do his duties that should be done for this month, then he will not receive anything. Moreover he will suffer in the long run. Regarding this Rwasoolullah Swallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam says in Hadish Shareef, “Distroy for that person who receives the month of Rwamadan but fails to manage his forgiveness of his sins. (Ahmad).
Ya Allah Ta’aala! Help us to receive the Rwahmaat, Baraqaat, Saqeena, Magfiraat and Najaat completely by performing the duties of Rwamadan Shareef. Allahumma Ameen.
